Attending the chest wall clinic

At your chest wall appointment your child may be seen by one or all of the following: Consultant Surgeon, Orthotist and Physiotherapist.  

Please ensure that your child is dressed in a top that is easy to remove so that the Chest Wall Team can easily examine their chest. 

Depending on the underlying problem, your child may also receive an X-Ray, Clinical Photographs, 3D Scan or plaster cast mould of their chest. Any images will be held in their patient record but may also be used anonymously for teaching and publications. We will also hold a record of your child as part of a secure database.

We have resumed Chest Wall Clinic following the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions. Many appointments will be using Near Me / Attend Anywhere which is the video call system for the NHS.

Surgery and Chest Wall School

We are starting to appoint patients for surgery. If you are currently on the waiting list an appointment will be sent in due course. Chest Wall School will be held using Video Call prior to your surgery.
